My Favorite Tokyo Tokyo Picks

If you are about to go Japanese Food Hopping, I am sure that amongst your list to go to is Tokyo Tokyo.
Here are some of my picks whenever you dine at the restaurant...

Whenever I feel like I am really hungry and I have the money to pay for a complete meal, I would go for Tokyo Tokyo's Bento Boxes: My favorite is the Pork Tonkatsu and the Chicken Teriyaki. There are also other choices to choose from, each of them go with miso soup, coffee jelly, red iced tea and unlimited rice.

Something lighter are Tokyo Tokyo's Burgers. I tried Shogun Burger and it is a pick for me for 99.00 ala carte. You can make it a meal by adding P 50.00 for wasabi fries and red iced tea.

Chinese Sausage Special Chow Pao (how it looks)

My mom and I got curious of how a Chow Pao taste like because of the Chowking commercial so we decided to give it a try. There are 4 kinds of Chow Pao flavors and I chose the Chinese Sausage Special (with vegetables) which cost P 35.00. It was a perfect snack paired with what I ate in Parvati, but I wouldn't have it for lunch though.

Of course, the CK print was embedded in the Mantao buns. :)

A Quick Fix from Century Tuna: Century Chilli Corned Tuna and Miso Pasta

CENTURY CHILI CORNED TUNA & MISO PASTA
Ingredients:

250 grams

1/4 cup

1/4 cup

1 tablespoon

1 tablespoon

1 tablespoon

1/4 teaspoon

1/2 cup

1-180 grams

1/2 cup

1 cup

1/4 cup

1/4 cup

linguine or fettuccine

olive oil

chopped onion

minced garlic

miso paste

soy sauce

paprika

fresh asparagus tips

Century Chili Corned Tuna

dry white wine

fresh spinach

sliced scallions

salt and pepper to taste

sliced toasted almonds

Procedure:
Cook pasta as directed in the package.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet. Sauté onion and garlic. Add miso, soy sauce, paprika, asparagus and Century Corned Tuna. Pour in white wine and simmer for about 2 minutes.Add spinach and season to taste with salt and pepper. Add cooked pasta and toss well. Transfer to a platter then top with toasted almonds.
Makes 4 to 5 servings.
