Mich's Random Food Blogging Thoughts

My unehanced photo of the food I ate at Chili's.
I call myself a passionate writer, but definitely, I've always felt the need to learn a lot when it comes to food blogging.

I have started Lafang Adventures two years back, that time, I do not know how serious I would be when it comes to food blogging. All I know, I loved to eat -- therefore, I document it with my photos and tell my story of the places I go and visit.

My photos are taken with my Samsung GT-P7300, I bring it when I go out with the fam, above is the example of the photo I took, this one was from the lunch combo of Chili's. I used to think that I had great photos, until I saw other food blogs who take time to do photo editing, adding their own logo to the picture or even providing their watermark. It makes me think why am I not using my editing powers to enhance my picture?

I will not promise anything spectacular, all I know, I want to improve, I want my "viewers" to continue appreciating the littlest things I do, even in food blogging.

Pardon me for the ranting, I do hope you enjoy the things I feature, love you all! :)

Where My Mouth Ventured To This Month

I haven't done some serious blogging here for quite some time, let me just share to you where I had been this month (January 2013) though it hasn't ended yet and some of my thoughts on the food I ate.

1. YABU - THE HOUSE OF KATSU (Located at the Ground Floor of Robinson's Magnolia)

I've been following a lot of food blogs and I've raised a certain level of curiosity on how their KATSU was different from those I have eaten throughout my existence. For my parents' 26th Anniversary, we've spent our lunch at Yabu - The House of Katsu at Robinson's Magnolia.

My order was the Menchi Katsu Set (priced at P 350) and a glass of their bottomless iced tea. According to Yabu, Menchi Katsu is made of authentic Japanese minced meat, made with superior ground beef and pork, mixed together with Yabu’s special spices, and stuffed with creamy cheese. At first glance, I thought it was just the same as what my parents ordered but I was happy for the cheesy surprise.

2. ADOBO CONNECTION (FEU Morayta Branch)

I've also been extra curious about Adobo Connection, you see, aside from them following the trend of "Kanin-all-you-can" they had already give a different flavor to everybody's favorite adobo. I've thrown in my curiosity and bought Fish and Tofu Adobo - a part of their Kanin All You Can Picks. Ya had her pandan jelly (P 39.00) which I had to have a taste and it is definitely awesome as it is advertised..

Here's some of the places I've eaten this month, since I usually go to the nearest eatery during weekdays ;) I promise to do some serious blogging. :)

Foodie Best Friends: Photo Editing Software

I had been food blogging for quite sometime and as I look back through my posts I come to realize that I have not really given a personal touch to my photos and just posted everything on the blog as it happened. With that, I find my blog dull and unattractive to readers (despite having 14,000+ views to date in a span of 1 1/2 year).

Adobe Photoshop is the photo editing software I am familiar with, I hope I get to use it more often so we can become best of friends *wink*
