My Food Blog Idol: Jane Go of SugarGoSpice.com

It was almost a year since I last touched on my food blog, roughly because I feel that I don't have the gadget to work with all the photos or I wasn't too inspired to add watermarks just to make this photos my own. It was just lately when I discovered the food blog of Jane Go, aptly entitled Sugar, Spice and Everything Nice at www.sugargospice.com

Miss Jane is a wonderful mom to 3 teens and a wife of 20 years to the man who she considers as her soulmate. She makes sure to at least religiously post her food adventures and staycations at almost everyday (something I could not have thought of doing but I do) and I love to read about her adventures everyday. For me she is one great blogger you should not miss. Her adventures with KTG and her personal notes on Jana, Jonah and Jena (okay Jela too) make it not just a food blog but a personal blog as well.

A Date at Tokyo Bubble Tea TriNoma

Me and my friend, Krish planned so many times as early as last year to meet up, I mean, we were used to seeing each other in college so often but we've lead to separate lives after graduation. It was just last Saturday when we both agreed to meet up (impromptu!) in TriNoma.

2 hungry tummies were lead to Tokyo Bubble Tea in TriNoma. Honestly, before this meet up I have not tried eating there yet so this is more like a first for me (and I secretly wished that time that Krishel would be extremely happy after this).

That afternoon's gorgeous date of mine, my college classmate, Krishel Tiangco

Two refreshing drinks for us in Strawberry Black Tea (Krishel) and Chocolate Milk Tea for me (since I told myself I won't eat cake which I later on didn't intend of doing... *sigh*)

Fish Katsudon (for me) priced at P 225

When I try to go out, I do my best to eat fish and chicken rather than the usual beef spree I get from school. Here is something I ate which presentation wise made it look more tempting. (mmm).

Beef Gyudon (for Krishel) priced at P 195

Tokyo Bubble tea is also one with Honeybee Patisserie for their cakes, please do ask what is available as not all cakes are available often. It was Krishel who ordered the cake at first which she let me try (thus the nasayang ang pagpipigil at kumain din ng cake thought)

Roasted Cocoa Mousse (priced at 100)

Krishel: Mars, subukan mo
Me: <kuha, kain> Wow, sarap... Ate, menu please?

So in the end, I still obliged on eating a dessert. Hello calories!

Red Velvet Cake (priced at P 95)

I still believe that I am a big red velvet fan, which is why I tried this, it is actually big for sharing (thank you Mars for influencing me)

My overall experience was actually fantastic for a first timer, even if the Bubble Tea branch in TriNoma is smaller than the places I've seen, it is something that I would look forward to going to TriNoma.

To good food and great friendships, Thank you for that day Mars and thank you for making it extremely special Tokyo Bubble Tea - TriNoma Branch.

Dimsum Break Recto: Anniversary Buffet - Eat All You Can at P 99

Having been around the university belt as an employee opened my doors to various cuisines, one of them is the affordable Chinese Dimsum in Dimsum Break. Located in the heart of Nicanor Reyes Street, Sampaloc Manila, Dimsum Break Recto offers its 1st Anniversary Blowout with an Eat-All-You-Can from 4PM onwards.

Choose from the Original Steamed Fried Rice, Yang Chow Fried Rice, Pancit Canton, Wanton, Sweet and Sour Beef Balls and Buchi. Yes, it is not extensive but it is something that fits the budget especially if you would want to go for an early dinner.

Let's try it there shall we?

Long time NO TOUCH my blog!

I will come back soon, I'm on to new food trips which I hope can make you smile starting off with Tokyo Bubble Tea which I had with one of my best friends, Krishel and my thought on the 8 Cuts Burgers I had yesterday (I ordered the 4 Cheese thing).
